Diane's Cornbread

1 cup white corn meal
1 - 4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup milk
1 Tbsp. flour
½ tsp. salt
1 egg
Dash Wesson oil

Mix all ingredients. Cover bottom of an iron skillet with oil and heat in oven until oil is hot. Pour mixture into skillet (it will fry the bottom.) Cook at 350°- 400° until brown. Serves about 6 - you can double or triple. If you are making it for dressing, use only 1 tsp. sugar.
