Southern Cornbread Dressing

3 cups celery & 2 lg. onions, chopped and sautéed in 1 ½ sticks butter
9 cups cornbread, crumbled
10 pieces of toast, crumbled
Broth to thin, about 8 cups
1 ½ tsp. pepper
4 eggs, raw
12 hard-boiled eggs, cut up

Mix all ingredients and bake in 9" x 13" pan @ 400° until brown. When you mix dressing, it will be soupy. It needs all the broth because it is supposed to be very moist. This recipe is actually double the original - we can't get enough of it!
