
Melt butter, then add sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt. Dissolve soda in buttermilk, then add to other mixture. Add beaten eggs and stir in flour. Grease and flour 9" x 12" baking pan. Bake @ 350° for 35-40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or lemon sauce. Lemon
Sauce:
1 cup sugar
¼ cup butter
Juice of 1 lemon
1 egg, slightly beaten
½ to 1 cup boiling water
Stir until thick. Serve on Gingerbread hot or cold. (Hal loves this!)
